Four engines, one score.
Hybrid scoring combines four complementary approaches to find the right procedure, even with imperfect input.
FTS
PostgreSQL tsvector index, French stemming. Searching "appendix" retrieves all appendectomy procedures.
TRIGRAM
pg_trgm for typos and spelling variants. "appendectomy" with a typo remains findable.
VECTOR
On-device embeddings, cosine similarity. Retrieves semantically related procedures even without lexical overlap.
